Dionne Blood, MSW, LICSWFor over 20 years, I have worked with people in the mental health field. I received a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Minnesota, Saint Paul. I completed internships focusing on adoption and geriatric mental health. My undergraduate Psychology degree was also completed at the University of Minnesota. I have received additional training in EMDR, couples therapy, geriatric mental health, death and dying, parenting issues, co-parenting after a separation, and other holistic approaches such as mindfulness, relaxation, and visualization. I love my profession. Being a part of people's live when they are often feeling most vulnerable is very much an honor to me. People entrust me to work with them during some very difficult times in their life, it is my joy to see people adapt, change, and grow through these experiences.
What others have said about Dionne:
“I have struggled with low self-esteem, anxiety and depression for many years. Dionne has helped me literally rewire my brain so my response to stress and confrontational situations is now calm and self-assured. I don’t even start thinking the way I used to. Thank you so much, Dionne.” - a client
"I have tried other therapists but just didn't feel they got me or what I was saying. Dionne gets it and that makes a big difference. She has compassion, I trust her."
